CATACOMBS ENSHADOWED was born under the Master’s spell by a nameless devotee of unknown origin. Inspired by the ominous synth of early Mortiis and Lamentation, as well as the spirit of early black metal bands such as Abruptum, Demoncy, Archgoat, and Master’s Hammer. CATACOMBS ENSHADOWED creates eldritch dungeon synth with morbid and funereal atmospheres. The debut offering ‘Curse of Dark Centuries’ is rooted in the melancholic traditions of the past, with seven doleful hymns of wampyric darkness. Kneel before the black altar and embrace the curse!
An italian Pagan Folk Band born in the winter of 2015, FeHu mixes pagan/nordic and medieval melodies toghether with more styles.
There was a time when rivers of cement flooded the earth and the lights of the cities prevented the view of the stars
So it was that then five brave guys decided to get together and fight against it
They took a letter of an ancient character and made it their own, without imagining the great power it would give it.
With music that recalled the purity of the ancient, singing songs of great warrior cultures now defunct, fought to sounds of ballads and songs, calling freedom, fighting with vigor against the sick modernity

Starting with an a cappella creation called "Tres Caminaires", which means "three hikers" in Gascon language, he has now released 2 news song, "Pyrène" and recently "Cernunnos" which is about the Celtic God.

ElixiR is a medieval/rpg style project formed in 2014 by Thomas ElixiR.
Inspired by the myths, legends and landscape of France and specially the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, ElixiR will transport you to its magical and sometimes melancholic universe through its original and diverse melody.
Igric is a one man band from Slovakia, the founder of the band calls himself igric, which means minstrel, historically the word was used in the great moravian empire to represent an ancient slovak musician. The band was founded in 2002 and ended in 2012, releasing only instrumental songs.
Igric plays a great ambient black metal with lot of influences from the slavonic paganism. In my opinion this is one of the best bands in the scene, but sadly not recognized, Igric was never famous in the ambient black metal scene, and a lot of fans of the genre never even heard of him.
Needless to say that I highly recommend this band for everyone, even if you are not a fan of the genre, this band will surprise you.
Dungeon synth project of the gender medieval, folk, celtic, fantasy, from Salt Lake City, Utah, US.
The artist from Salt Lake City in Utah makes what I consider the best bit of dungeon synth, due to its particular foresty sound. There’s a lightness to Fief, a peaceful joy, and gentle vibe. It’s the thing we often lose when we stop reading books and playing video games that beckon.
Fief seems to generally have been hailed as the new king (or kings) of dungeon synth. Maybe that’s a stretch to state, but the releases of this unknown outfit are much adored in the genre.
From the shores of the Baltic Sea comes a mysterious stranger with an old axe on his back and an old book in his hands. A black hood conceals his many secrets, but fear not; he is here to tell you a story. A story told beneath the banner of old school dungeon synth, hearkening back to dark medieval times – when not every hero was good and not every tale told held a happy ending. Rest thy weary bones by the fire and behold the legend of Carnifexian.

Undantagsfolk are a duo hailing from Västra Götaland, Sweden. Their barren folk music, based on arcane tales originating from rural Sweden, is performed on harmonium and nylon stringed guitars interwoven with ambient vocal harmonies. Members Elea (NOÊTA) and Erik (GRIFT), each expertly stir, in their own intensely personal way, the stripped-down expression of loneliness and melancholy that has become pivotal to their musical vision. Their seven-inch debut EP "Den Ondes Fingrar" is set to be released January 4th, 2019, through Nordvis.
Founded in 1993, Einherjer's albums are heavily folk influenced, while others have a more traditional symphonic black metal sound. Their lyrics retell Norse legends, and each of their albums has its own theme. The band split up in early 2004 after releasing the album Blot in December 2003, but later reformed .
The word Einherjer is the modern Norwegian version of the Old Icelandic Einherjar meaning either"Those who fight alone" or "Those who belong to an army". According to both the Poetic and the Prose Edda, the Einherjar are prominent fighters who, upon their death on the battlefield, are brought to Valhalla by the Valkyries to feast and battle with each other until the coming of the final battle of the gods, Ragnarok.
Historically, the concept of Einherjar is thought to have been linked to Odinic beliefs and cults spawned sometimes during the late Heathen-period.
Lustre is the musical project of Henrik Sunding who goes under the pseudonym "Nachtzeit". Lustre began in 2008 after the dissolve of The Burning. Prior to both, Sunding also used to be a drummer of the band Hypothermia.
Unlike most Black Metal artists, Lustre uses guitars and vocals as background instruments and instead uses keyboards and synths as the primary instrument. Lustre's lyrical themes include nature, darkness, mysticism, and spirituality.
the band was born in the summer of 2014, from a union of ideas among the three founders: Marco Salusso, Simone Macchia and Gianluca Mondo.
The goal is immediately clear: to unite the strong love for fairy tales and for the singer's land with the guitarists' will to create a new, melodic and technical genre, extremeized by the powerful rhythmic deathcore of the drummer Alessandro Torchio.
The first training in May 2015 releases the two single While Obscurity Fills my Eyes and Return to the Forest, in which he decides to experiment with the use of the hurdy-gurdy.
A few months after the release of the pieces, Carola Del Pizzo, keyboard player, leaves the project.
After exactly one year, in May 2016, after several dates in Turin and several misadventures due to continuous changes of members, the band released two new singles: Hopeless Land and Haunt the world.
Shortly after the release of the pieces, due to different visions, the historical drummer Alessandro Torchio and bassist Federico Cimbarle leave the training.
The umpteenth blow to the group, which suffers a setback lasting more than six months.
In the meantime the music composed by the band undergoes strong stylistic contaminations thanks to the entry into the project by Luca Capurso, a transverse flute, which with its technique and compositional know-how gives a whole new dimension to the pieces produced by the group.
In the late winter of 2017 the drummer Alberto Ferreri is introduced into training, as the spring wind pushes the band towards new goals: in seven months the Legacy of Silence record, self-producing totally, the first EP Nightfall.
The band then launches in the preparation of the first album, which will be released in late spring 2018.
The Legacy of Silence continue to compose and play throughout the Piedmont, trying to expand beyond the homeland to bring to the ear of several people their stories, daughters of our woods, daughters of our land, daughters of our most ancient fears .
WOLCENSMEN is the Epic Heathen Folk project of Dan Capp, England.
Wolcensmen began its journey in 2013 with the release of a 3-song demo CD. This edition of 30 hand-made CD-Rs was given to friends, as Wolcensmen was initially intended to be just a small creative outlet for the man behind the project, Dan Capp. Dan had played in a number of bands; of varying styles, all metal-related, but looked back to his teenage years when he had crafted short acoustic passages of music inspired by the likes of Ulver, Opeth, Empyrium and Wongraven. These long-lost cassette recordings had been praised by friends at the time, so Dan decided it was time to rekindle that old flame.
The demo songs were uploaded to bandcamp, and through a series of chance circumstances, Deivlforst Records of Germany took an interest, offering to re-release the demo on cassette with the addition of two bonus tracks (songs that had been recorded as one-offs for compilation albums). The growing popularity of the demo demanded a debut full-length, and with the encouragement of Deivlforst, work began on this in 2015 and culminated in the release of ‘Songs from the Fyrgen’ in November 2016. The reception to the debut album was phenomenal and despite no structured press campaign the initial CD pressing sold out in six months, with overwhelming praise from the underground press.
The inspiration for Wolcensmen was always, quite simply, those deeply atmospheric acoustic-guitar compositions which occasionally flowed from within the extreme metal scene of the 1990s. Wolcensmen’s purpose is to draw upon those folkloric moods and aesthetics and to explore the mystical Heathen culture of North-Western Europe.
In October 2017 the first live performance of Wolcensmen songs took place in England’s Lake District. Following this, work began on the writing and planning of a sophomore album and further live shows.
