TENGWAR is a Folk Metal band formaly founded on Samhain of 2003.
Their music combines a powerful metal basis with both Celtic and Medieval Folk influences and skilful traditional playing bringing together the particular blend that is their mark.

The official debut of the band was on September 9th of 2004 with original founding members Thorvi, Fërin, Tryzwen and Khâli in addition to a whole bunch of invited musicians including Graëwyn, Halatir who immediately joined the band.
A first Demo-EP "The Pilgrim's March" was released on August of 2005. Along the intense live work of the band in 2006 and 2007 the Demo-EP sold out.

A new EP "Tengwesta Quendion" was released on October of 2008. The CD included four hymns of the band as well as presented the new band member: Feredur (fiddle). This EP rapidly sold out a first edition and a second.

In 2009 the band began the recordings of their first full length album.

The highly expected album "The Halfling Forth Shall Stand..." was then almost fully recorded along 2010 and was finally released in March 2011.
