Garmarna

sábado, 25 de junio de 2016

One of the most important Swedish folk bands to emerge in the early 90-ies, combining medival ballads with electronic sounds.

The band started in 1990, formed by Stefan Brisland-Ferner, Gotte Ringqvist and Rickard Westman.
Was joined by Jens Höglin in 1992 and by Emma Härdelin in 1993.
Toured extensively in Europe and the US during the 90s until 2006 and has been on hold until, doing only brief appearances, 2015 when the band started recording the new album "6".
Garmarna has been nominated for the swedish Grammy awards three times and won "folk album of the year" for "Guds Spelemän".
The band had great international success with their mix between swedish traditional folkmusic, electronica and rock.
